Check Out What We Did For Our Client's Rebranding
Jamie, the owner, first contacted our team for a new website, as she was not happy with the outcome she got from the previous agency. She also mentioned that she was after a brand refresh as they had had the same look for the past ten years and felt that they had matured as a company. With this in mind, we first started on the logo rebrand before we rolled out the new look and feel to the website.
After having a brief discussion with Jamie on what her vision was, we took to the drawing board and created a much tidier and simplistic logo with a marble background for a timeless feel. With Jamie’s approval “They managed to take my vision and bring it to life” we moved onto the website refresh and rebuild. Jamie’s main issue with her website was that it wasn’t user friendly and quiet chunky – the gift card redemption on both ends was too challenging to use. Keeping this in mind and having established the new look and feel, we created a seamless, user-friendly website. The website reflects a professional day spa.
In May (in the wake of the COVID-19 lockdowns) we added a Shopify-powered online store to the website. There was a lot of work involved refactoring the site to also have an online store (we basically built a whole new site within the existing site). We could have just pointed customers to a different domain or created a subdomain ( e.g. shop.portdayspa.com.au) but at PD, we do things the right way, not the easy way — we wanted the integration to be seamless.
We used the Shopify Storefront API access all the store data and the Shopify Buy SDK to manage the cart system and generate secure checkout URLs. It was our first time building a headless e-commerce store, and we plan to do many more in the future.
